By accessing and using our website, services, and purchasing our products, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. Please read these terms carefully before placing an order. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our website.

1. General Information

Ignatura is a boutique cake studio based in Mount Wellington, Auckland, New Zealand. We specialise in custom cakes, including Latin-inspired flavours and specialty cakes for private events.
These Terms & Conditions apply to all orders, website use, and services provided by Ignatura.

2. Orders

All orders must be placed with a minimum of 5 days' notice. Orders are subject to availability, and we may decline an order if we are unable to fulfil it.
For special events or custom orders, we recommend placing your order well in advance to avoid disappointment.

3. Pricing

All prices listed on our website are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).
Prices are subject to change without notice, but any changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
Additional charges may apply for custom decorations, delivery, or special requests.

4. Payment

All payments are done through our online store with the exception of our custom/celebration cakes (example: Wedding Cakes), which can be made via bank transfer or any accepted payment methods at the time of purchase.
Full payment must be received before your order can be collected or delivered.
By placing an order, you authorise us to process your payment information.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be made with at least 48 hours’ notice. If a cancellation is made within this time frame, the deposit will not be refunded.
For cancellations made after 48 hours, the full amount of the order will be charged, and no refunds will be issued.
Ignatura reserves the right to cancel any order due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.

6. Pickup & Local Delivery

Pickup

All orders can be picked up from 10/18 Harrison Road, Mount Wellington, Auckland, at a pre-agreed time during the following hours:

Tuesday to Friday: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Saturday: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Local Delivery

Local delivery is available only for selected Auckland postal codes. If the delivery option does not appear at checkout after entering your address, it means delivery is not available for your location.

Delivery incurs an additional fee, which is calculated based on your address and confirmed at checkout.
Local deliveries are made Tuesday to Friday, between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.

Responsibility

Ignatura is not responsible for any damage to cakes or products once they have been picked up or successfully delivered.

7. Product Information

Our cakes are handcrafted, and as such, slight variations in appearance may occur.
All cakes are made using high-quality ingredients. However, please note that they may contain allergens such as nuts, dairy, eggs, gluten, and traces of other allergens. We do not offer allergy-friendly cakes.
Storage instructions will be provided with your cake. It is recommended that cakes be stored in a refrigerator and consumed within 72 hours of pickup or delivery.

8. Custom Orders & Special Requests

We strive to accommodate special requests for flavors, decorations, and themes. Please ensure any special requests are communicated at the time of ordering.
Custom decorations may incur additional charges, which will be communicated to you before confirming the order.

9. Website Use

By using our website, you agree to use it for lawful purposes only and not engage in any conduct that could damage, disable, or impair the functionality of the site.
You may not copy, distribute, or exploit any part of our website’s content without prior written consent from Ignatura.

We do not guarantee that our website will always be available, and we reserve the right to suspend or withdraw access to our site without notice.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, including images, logos, text, and designs, is the intellectual property of Ignatura and is protected under copyright laws. Any unauthorized use of our content is prohibited.

11. Liability

Ignatura will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from the use of our products or services.
While we take great care in the preparation and delivery of your cake, Ignatura is not responsible for any damages that occur after the cake leaves our premises or is delivered.

12. Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for information on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

13. Changes to Terms & Conditions

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on our website, and by continuing to use our services, you agree to be bound by the updated terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
